Ashton Pemberton is a 5th year Ph.D. student in the Higher Education and Organizational Change Program at UCLA. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Education from Duke University and a master's in Education Policy and Management from Harvard's Graduate School of Education. Ashton has given several workshops on anti-racism within educational settings for organizations such as Columbia’s Teacher's College, Harvard Law School, and Cambridge Success Initiative. He currently serves as Teaching Assistant for the Bunche Fellows program, graduate student researcher, on-air television contributor, and podcast host. Ashton has also been published on news sites such as Blavity and Edsource. Ashton hopes to continue to use his love for media and academia to deconstruct anti-black racism and patriarchy.
