Dr. Oteka Jackson-Cenales DNP, MSN, RN

Dr. Oteka Jackson-Cenales is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice at Texas Christian University in the Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She has been in her current position for four years. Dr. Jackson-Cenales received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at East Texas Baptist University in 2007. She then furthered her education and received her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Loyola University New Orleans in 2012. Moreover, Dr. Jackson-Cenales received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Walden University in 2018. Her nursing background includes operating room, medical-surgical nursing, wound care, preoperative, and postoperative nursing. She also has a great passion for mentorship. She is the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) Course Coordinator and has developed a Senior II Nursing Alumni Mentorship Program that she started in the Spring 2022.
