Erlange Elismé, a certified school social worker, has served families in Gwinnett County Public Schools for sixteen years. Previously, she served as a bilingual school social worker and team leader in Florida from 1992-2006. Ms. Elismé holds a bachelor's degree in social work from Florida Atlantic University and a master's degree from Barry University. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate in a trauma-informed DSW program at Barry University, School of Social Work.
Ms. Elismé has presented numerous workshops on the social-emotional needs of gifted children; cultural diversity, focusing on Haitian Immigrants. She has also presented seminars on parenting, the paradox of being gifted, fostering Resiliency in School Age Children, and understanding diversity's impact when treating medical illnesses.
