Dr. James I. McRavion Sr. is a full-time adjunct professor teaching Religious Studies at Tennessee State University. His motto is: “If you pursue your passion, then it will reveal your life's purpose”. Dr. McRavion’s passion to serve others has revealed his life's purpose of mentoring, ministering, and teaching others how to overcome life's challenges. As the former, Intensive Services Coordinator for the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Dr. McRavion created and facilitated a program to help veterans, who happened to be former offenders, re-enter society through services provided by the Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Commerce, and other community stakeholders. He received the 2014 Governor's Award for Excellence as a result of his commitment to service. Dr. McRavion’s desire to operate in excellence motivates him to prioritize his time, talent, and tithe to bring about a better world for all humankind.
