Professor Lauren McLane is an Associate Professor of Law and the Director of the University of Wyoming, College of Law’s Defender Aid Clinic, which focuses on systemic and impact litigation that furthers racial and transformative justice in the state of Wyoming. Professor McLane completed her J.D. at Seattle University School of Law in Seattle, Washington, in 2008. Prior to becoming a law professor, Professor McLane served in a variety of positions in the area of criminal defense, including as a public defender and innocence lawyer in King County, Washington. Throughout her career, Professor McLane has investigated, researched, published, litigated, and taught in the areas of criminal defense and justice reform.
