Ronnie Marshall began his career as a 7th-grade math teacher in 2013. Since then, he developed a passion for working with minoritized youth. Mr. Marshall previously served as a lead mentor for young Black males in Young Men of Distinction (YMOD), and as a math coach who led the math department to achieve academic growth. In 2019, he became an Assistant Principal (AP) and is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. His goal is to utilize his degree to evaluate and develop educational practices that focus on equity and placement of Black students in advanced courses.
