Simone Smith is pursuing a PhD in Social Work, Policy, Planning, & Administration at The Whitney M. Young, Jr. School of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker who received her Master of Social Work & Bachelor of Social Work from Georgia State University. Simone started Sexual Trauma and Assault Resources Inc., a nonprofit organization seeking to end sexual violence in marginalized populations & empower survivors of sexual trauma and abuse. Her goals are to guide individuals in addressing, healing, and recovering from sexual trauma and dysfunction. Simone is an advocate for equality & committed to promoting policies that protect the rights and lives of sexual minority groups.
