Ida is an author, technologist, international lecturer, and doctoral candidate. Ida is the author of Emerging Library Technologies: It’s Not Just for Geeks (Elsevier, 2018). She has 20 years of experience in the areas of project management, technology consulting, education, and research that keeps her in demand as an authority and guest lecturer on emerging technologies—drones, robotics, driverless vehicles, artificial intelligence, big data, and AR/VR. Some recent speaking engagements include: Introduction to Drones and Podcasting workshops at the Frisco Library; Southwest Educational Research Association 44 th Annual conference (February 2021); Library 2019 Emerging Technologies (October, 2019); Emerging Technologies at Austin Community College (October, 2019); Life Under Drones Symposium at Pacific Lutheran University (September, 2019); Drone Show Podcast (January, 2019).
Ida holds a B.A. in business management from Chatham University; MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh; and is currently a doctoral candidate at Texas Wesleyan University.
