This presentation will discuss the implementation of a Professional Learning Community (PLC) workshop guided by the Culturally Relevant Sustaining Education (CRSE) framework in Ohio's 21st Century Community Learning Centers. It will focus on enhancing staff cultural competency and empathy, examining its effects on attendance and engagement among marginalized Black high school students in these Out-of-School Time (OST) programs.
