In this workshop, participants will gain awareness of a model of professional identity development (PID) while encouraging brainstorming of support for Black doctoral students within various fields. Using a grounded theory framework, this transferrable study surrounds the process of PID of Black doctoral students in counselor education to provide support upon navigating programs at PWIs.
