This presentation will discuss the attitudes towards education by first and second-generation West African immigrants. The literature on immigrant populations shows that working hard and embracing education positively impacts an individual’s life outcomes; Although, this may be true, it does not tell the whole story about this demographic’s behaviors that predict positive attitudes towards education.
